The latest single from Sean Pauls sucessful album “The Trinity” is a rather serious song entitled “The Same”
Why is it a serious song? Well it tackles the issue of violence in the singers home country of Jamaica as well the number of friends that have died due to violence over the singers lifetime.
The single has already been released in Europe and has just now found its way over to North America so keep your ears open while listening to the radio and you should hear it soon!

Sean Paul is gearing up to begin his Trinity World Tour on Nov. 21st 2006, the tour will start with a show in Anaheim, CA at the House of Blues.
He is launching this tour to help build on the already record breaking sucess of his recent album The Trinity, which just recently passed the 500,000 sales mark,in a recent interview Paul was excited to talk about his latest album saying “Well, it took three years, as I said, since Dutty Rock dropped on the street. This is my third album, and it was all produced in Jamaica, the so-called ’Third World.’ I’m trying to make a statement there, saying, you know, good things can come out of the dirt. That people don’t understand. It’s nothing to do with trying to put my own people down by saying ’Third World.’ It’s actually trying to big it up and say, ’Yo, a lot of good things can happen from something that people don’t seem to care about.’”

Sean Pauls recently released “The Trinity” topped North American Reggae charts this week after he sold 107,000 just in the first week of its commerica release. Whats so special about that? Well its the highest ever sales record for first week sales of any raggae ablum in history!
Compared to Sean Pauls first album “Dutty Rock” which sold a comparitively small 65,000 copies in its first week, his second album is doing extraodinarily well.

Recently a judge in Houston Texas dismissed a copyright infringement lawsuit aimed at Beyonce for her #1 hit song “Baby Boy” what does this have to do with Sean Paul well the song itself was written byBeyonce but Sean Paul was one of the producers of the song so any legal ruling would have affected his career to some extent.
Beyonce however was quite thrilled at the ruling saying “It’s unfortunate that lawsuits such as this one occur, but I am grateful and relieved to have this behind me and I am eager to move on.”
The lawsuit was launched by Jennifer Armour, a singer/songwriter from Minneapolis, back in 2005 claiming her manager had sent a demo for her song “Got a Little Bit of Love for You” to Columbia Records and the song “Baby Boy” which was released shortly afterwards sounds very simular.
The judge through out the lawsuit because the song was actually completed in studios over a month before Jennifer claimed her song had been mailed in.

Today MTV issued a press release saying that Sean Paul has been given 2 nominations for the Europe Music Awards 2006, his nominations were for the catagory of “Best Hip Hop Video” as well as “Best Male Video”.
